Taste the mix of two culinary cultures : Brittany and Auvergne
Our traditional Breton crêperie favours Auvergne fillings.
It is obvious for us, as Bretons, to bring our culinary culture while highlighting the products of Auvergne region. This marriage of traditional 100% buckwheat galettes with the flavours of Auvergne products was crucial.
This is why in our crêperie-restaurant, you will find buckwheat galettes and wheat crêpes made according to the Breton tradition, cooked on billigs (specific cooking plates to make Breton crêpes and galettes).
You prefer wheat crêpes? Discover our selection which, like the buckwheat galettes, are mainly made with local products from our two beloved regions: Brittany and Auvergne.
Les Pas de géants also offers : 3-cheese plate, cold cuts, home-made French fries, or even a children’s menu…

WHY “LES PAS DE GÉANTS”?
In addition to the flavours of our pancakes and crepes, you can enjoy an exceptional geological site. Indeed, our crêperie restaurant is located on the historical site of La Tour d’Auvergne, called “Le Foirail”.
This name refers to the old cattle fairs that were held in the region. They were held on a ground which has a geological feature: basaltic organs.
These organs were discovered in 1763 by a vulcanologist, Nicolas Desmaret, who stated that the basalt present at La Tour d’Auvergne was of volcanic origin. Writings from that time have been found in which this natural wonder was referred to as the “Giant’s Pavement”. The same phenomenon can be found in Ireland called “Giant’s Causeway”.That is why we decided to call our restaurant “Giant’s Steps” (LES PAS DE GEANTS).
